PPC: Cooperation with EcoVadis to integrate sustainability principles into the supply chain
PPC announces its three-year partnership with EcoVadis, the globally recognised business sustainability assessment platform, aiming to integrate sustainability principles into its supply chain. This partnership is fully aligned with PPC Group’s sustainability strategy, to create and measure Shared Value (CSV) for the society, the company, and stakeholders.
Through the assessment platform provided by EcoVadis, PPC will be able to map and assess its external supply chain partners in terms of their performance on key environmental, social, and corporate governance issues, as well as on CSV issues.
EcoVadis, with more than 17 years of experience, has established a global assessment network of corporate partners with more than 130,000 rated companies. The methodology it has developed is based on international sustainability standards and the companies are assessed based on the integration of sustainability principles into their management business model across four key performance categories: environmental impact, labour and human rights standards, business ethics and sustainable procurement practices.
PPC Group Chief Procurement Officer, Mrs. Zorzetta Christodoulopoulou stated: “Our key priority is to fully integrate sustainability principles into all our activities, and we aim to ensure that our partners acknowledge and share our commitment to sustainable development. To this end, we invite them to contribute to achieving our common goal by participating in an assessment of their sustainability performance through the EcoVadis platform."
