A delegation of officials from Sichuan Province in the People's Republic of China visited the Hellenic Police's General Police Directorate of Attica on Monday, it was reported on Tuesday.
The delegation comprised six officials, headed by Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, Ye Hanbin, accompanied by Ding Zhen, an official of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Athens.
The scope of this visit was the strenghthening of cooperation in police matters and the exchange of views concerning prevention and battling crime.
The Chinese officials were welcomed by Attica Police General Director Major General Asterios Mantziokas, and they met with several high-ranking police officials who held presentations on their departments' areas of interest, including the protection of cultural heritage and antiquities, and the operation of Greece's tourist and airport police divisions. The visiting delegation also visited the Operations Coordinating Center and the Traffic Monitoring and Control Center.
