Domus Renier Boutique Hotel, situated in Chania, Crete, was awarded as Europe's Best Historic Hotel by Historic Hotels Wordwide for 2018.  It is the first Greek historic hotel awarded by the organization. The nominations exceeded 200. 
The winners were announced at a ceremony in Colorado, United States, on November 1, in the presence of representatives of international tourism, international media and owners of historic hotels all around the world.
