The Hellenic Police announced that they will strengthen road safety measures throughout Greece from Wednesday, 30 April, to Sunday, 4 May, in order to ensure the safe movement of citizens during the May Day celebrations.

Police will be stationed at the entrances and exits of major urban centres, areas with heavy vehicle traffic, and locations with high passenger flow, such as airports, ports, and stations.

There will also be a ban on lorries over 3.5 tonnes on May Day, which will apply from 16:00 to 22:00 on Wednesday and from 08:00 to 13:00 on Thursday.
For the entry stream, the ban will be in force on Sunday, 4 May, from 11:00 to 23:00.
