SYRIZA-PA accuses PM of 'being interested in education as a commodity'

Attacking Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis following the premier's visit to the education ministry on Friday, opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance accused him of treating “ ...education as a commodity for the interests he represents," and said that "he should be ashamed, not make solemn declarations."
“ Mr. Mitsotakis continues his meaningless visits to ministries, making announcements that prove that he does not have the slightest plan regarding the support of basic pillars of the state, such as education and health, other than serving private interests,” the party's announcement noted, emphasising that Mitsotakis "did not say a word about the support of public schools, the issue of school buildings, the coverage of the identified gaps that are many times greater than the government’s calculations.”
