A meeting concerning the preparation of civil protection in anticipation of the fire season in Central Macedonia was convened under the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Yiannis Kefalogiannis, with the Deputy Minister of Interior Kostas Gioulekas, in attendance.

Kefalogiannis, while discussing the resources that will be allocated for the fire season in Central Macedonia, added that they will be increased. Regarding the drones, he stated that compared to last year, the number will be almost doubled, and the overall strength of the fire brigade will also be increased.

"Don't be fooled by the climatic conditions this year; it may look perhaps wetter than in previous years, but that doesn't mean we won't have incidents and difficult incidents to deal with," he said.
