Greek President Tassoulas signs condolences book for Pope Francis at Vatican embassy

President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine Tassoulas visited the Vatican Apostolic Nunciature in Athens on Wednesday to sign the book of condolences for Pope Francis.

In his message, Tassoulas called the late pope "a true friend of Greek culture, and a lighthouse of humility that lifted the conscience of humanity higher through his life and sermons."

He underlined that Pope Francis' voice for the marginalized and his Christian love will always reverberate in people's hearts, while he expressed the wish that the pope's legacy may continue to lead humanity to truth, unity, and hope.
