"The seven years of darkness and oppression that followed culminated in the betrayal of Cyprus by the junta and their supporters, a fact that indelibly marked the history of our country.
Today we are fighting for democratic values and rights, as they are not self-evident facts, but conquests that require constant struggle and vigilance especially now that the far right is on the rise.
The violation of the rule of law, techno-fascism and the widening of inequalities are creating post-democracy conditions. The Left and the democratic world will once again provide the answer."
