"The coup of April 21, 1967, set Greece back many decades, on a disastrous course that culminated in the Cyprus tragedy," emphasized main opposition PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis in his post on Monday.
The leader of PASOK-Movement for Change also pointed out that 58 years later, "we honor and are inspired by those who died for Democracy and Freedom" and underlined:
"Collective memory is a vigilant guardian of democratic institutions and respect for human rights."
Androulakis emphasized that "the daily struggle to protect the rule of law in our country is the only path to the qualitative upgrade of our Democracy and the prosperity of the Greek people."
