Defense minister visits Panagia Inousson island for Easter

National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias paid a visit on Holy Saturday to the sentry post at Panagia Inousson, a small island near Chios island.

As he noted in a post on X, Dendias was briefed on the sentry post's mission and exchanged Easter wishes with officers and conscripted soldiers.

At Panagia Inousson, the minister was accompanied by Hellenic National Defence General Staff chief General Dimitrios Choupis, Hellenic Army General Staff chief Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, and Commander of the 96th National Guard Battalion commander Brigadier General Charalambos Psaropoulos.

On Holy Friday (April 18), Dendias visited a border guard at Evros andn later attended the Epitaph service and procession in Orestiada.
