Registered unemployment totaled 926,041 persons in March 2025, down 5.2% from March 2024 and down 3.6% in comparison with February 2025, Public Employment Service (DYPA) said in a report released on Thursday.

The report said that a 48.9% of registered unemployed (452,630) were long-term unemployment, 328,576 (35.5%) were men and 597,465 (64.5%) women.

The 30-44 age group recorded the highest number of unemployed (287,014 or 31%). Among the country's regions, Attica and Central Macedonia recorded the highest numbers (278,529 or 30.1%, and 174,119 or 18.8%, respectively). The number of people receiving unemployment benefits totaled 167,947 in March 2025.
