Thousands to depart from Attica ports for the islands on Holy Thursday

Ports in Attica were exceptionally busy on Holy Thursday as Easter holiday makers began their departure for the islands of the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and Crete.
A total of 20 ferries will depart from the port of Piraeus carrying at least 22,190 passengers.
Ten ferries are scheduled to depart from the port of Rafina with at least 9,800 passengers, while another 10 will sail from the port of Lavrio, carrying 2,843 passengers on board.
On Holy Wednesday, 16 ferries departed from Piraeus port with 18,558 passengers on board, 11 ferries with 5,615 passengers departed from the port of Rafina and six ferries left from the port of Lavrio carrying 1,348 passengers.
The Coast Guard has taken all necessary measures to facilitate the travellers' departure.
