Aegean, Olympic Air to transport Holy Fire to Thessaloniki and other cities

Aegean and Olympic Air will fly the Holy Fire from Athens to various cities of Greece, it was announced on Wednesday.

The flights will take place on Holy Saturday afternoon (April 19).

Specifically, the Holy Fire is expected to arrive from Jerusalem to the Athens International Airport 'Eleftherios Venizelos' under the care of the Greek government, and will be then transported on scheduled as well as extraordinary flights to 8 Greek cities.

The schedule released for Aegean and Olympic Air is as follows:

- Athens to Zakynthos island (flight OA 052), 19:40-21:00
- Athens to Thessaloniki (A3 126), 19:45-20:40
- Athens to Ioannina (Α3 166), 20:10-21:25
- Athens to Kalamata (Α3 232), 20:30-21:25
- Athens to Lemnos (Α3 266), 19:45-20:45
- Athens to Santorini (Α3 360), 20:30-21:25
- Athens to Chania (OA 3000, special flight), 19:30-20:30
- Athens to Larissa (OA 3001, special flight), 19:30-20:40
