The Government Council on National Security, chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, convened on Wednesday at noon for a briefing conducted by Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis and Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou on the national strategy for maritime areas and on the design of the Maritime Spatial Planning.
The meeting also discussed and approved the Long-term Armaments Programme of the Armed Forces for 2025-2036, the prime minister's press office announced.
