"New Democracy is on the same team as the profiteering and cartels. The Easter table with increases from 20% to 97% compared to last year proves it," SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance spokesperson Giorgos Karameros said in a recorded statement released on Tuesday.
"In fact, if we compare 2019 with 2025, the numbers are shocking: One hundred and forty-one percent price increase in lamb, 100% in eggs and cheese, 296% in tsoureki, according to data from the Institute of Retail Consumer Goods Research (IELKA)  and the General Federation of Consumers of Greece (INKA)," emphasised Karameros, and concluded: "The cartels can only be broken up under a progressive left-wing government."
