Tsoukalas: The problems of the citizens are not virtual reality

"The problems of the citizens are not virtual reality. The New Democracy government must go because it is harming the country," stressed main opposition PASOK-Movement for Change spokesperson Kostas Tsoukalas in an interview with ANT1 on Friday.
Concerning the opinion polls, Tsoukalas acknowledged that at this time, they seem to show "that there has been, in the eyes of society, a distinction between systemic and anti-systemic parties and, in essence, the crisis of credibility that the government has created is generally paid for by the parties that have governed."
He disagreed, however, with the definition that systemic parties are all those that have governed, noting that "PASOK has governed for one two-year term in the last twenty years and yet it is "classified" by mainstream journalism as a systemic party." He further said that anti-systemic parties are those that wish to break with the current political, economic and social model and that "neither Plefsi Eleftherias nor Elliniki Lysi, which the government is trying to portray as anti-systemic parties, have expressed any desire to overthrow the system, nor have they even expressed positions on social issues."
Tsoukalas also spoke about the Eurostat report, saying that "it shows that our country remains second to last in purchasing power", to comment that "with Bulgaria's growth rate, I am very afraid that next year we will be last in purchasing power. And this shows what the result of the government policy is." He noted that PASOK has brought proposals for housing and that it brings proposals every week for productive reconstruction, how to change the production model and how to enter value-added markets.
