SYRIZA's Famellos: The cover-up of Tempi is spreading further

SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Sokratis Famellos charged the government with "continuing the cover-up" related to the Templi train collision, speaking from Brussels on Monday.

Specifically, in a statement, Famellos said: "The cover-up of the Tempi crime is spreading further. From the point where the government swore on the National Aviation and Railway Accidents and Transportation Safety Investigation Agency report, now it does exactly the reverse. It casts doubt on it, with yet another involvement of justice's leadership."

The party leader also claimed that the government "is not interested in truth. They are not interested in justice. They have panicked. The only thing they want is to cover up their own responsibilities, both for the crime at Tempi and the collision as well as for the cover-up that followed." He added that SYRIZA would respond to the public's demand for the truth, and reveal the government's responsibilities, as high up as those responsible may be.

While in Brussels, Famellos also met with European Commissioner for Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas.
