The new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for diaspora affairs, Yiannis Loverdos, paid an official visit to the Archdiocese of America, New York.
Archbishop Elpidophoros congratulated Loverdos on assuming his new duties and offered him an icon depicting Jesus Christ, which he described as a symbol of unity for the Church.
Loverdos thanked the Archbishop of America for the warm welcome and stressed that the unity of Hellenism is also his wish.
