A joint European operation to return Georgian nationals to their country of origin took place on 3 April, with a charter flight departing from Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos."

According to a relevant announcement: “ The return operation of the foreign nationals, organised by Greece through the Hellenic Police and with the financial support and coordination of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency FRONTEX, also included the participation of Cyprus.”

In total, 25 Georgian nationals were returned. The operation was carried out with the participation of police officers, a doctor, representatives of the Ombudsman, an interpreter, and FRONTEX police officers.
