Snowfall and drop in temperature; schools to remain closed in Florina

Schools in the regional unit of Florina will remain closed on Monday due to the severe weather conditions and snowfall during the night. The decision applies to all levels of education, with the exception of kindergartens that will operate normally.
The municipal authorities took the above decision to safeguard the safety of students and teaching staff.
Regarding the situation in the road network, anti-skid chains are needed in the mountainous provincial network throughout western Macedonia, while vehicle movement on the Egnatia highway is taking place without problems.
Since last night, snow removal machines from the region have been operating throughout the national and provincial network to avoid any problems.
