New polytechnic school to be established at Hellenic Mediterranean University

A new polytechnic school with three departments is established at the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU), in Heraklion. 

The relevant decision was signed by the Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, responsible for Higher Education Nikos Papaioannou. 
The new polytechnic school, as the Ministry of Education said in a statement, will be based in Heraklion and will include the following departments of the former School of Engineering of HMU:

  • Electrical and Computer Engineering, in Heraklion,
  • Electronic Engineering, in Chania,
  • Mechanical Engineering, in Heraklion.
