Civil engineer Dimitrios Anagnopoulos assumed the portfolio of secretary general for infrastructure at the Ministry of Infrastructure & Transport on Wednesday.

Anagnopoulos is a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (Polytechnic) and has a master's in technical project management.

He has worked as civil engineer and has extensive experience in the management of large-scale public works (roads, ports, hydraulics, construction, industrial and energy buildings). He has held managerial positions at the ministry since 2001.
