Suit against Tempi investigator in Larissa by victims' relatives is rejected as baseless

A prosecutor in Larissa rejected a complaint by five relatives of victims of the Tempi train collision against the appellate court investigator of Larissa Sotiris Baikamis and his secretary Evangelia Mantzoni.
Specifically, victims' relatives Maria Karystinou, Sotiris Mitskas, Lilian Vasilisi, Pavlos Aslanidis, and Christos Tilkeridis had filed a suit against Baikamis, claiming among other charges that he had given an order to destroy collected biological material of victims (blood and tissue) after the Tempi crash on February 28, 2023, and neglected to include in the court filings digital findings, archives, and voice and image archives.
Deputy prosecutor of the first-instance courts in Larissa Eftychia Meletopoulou rejected the suit and an appended suit as baseless, noting that there is no evidence whatsoever that Baikamis failed to carry out his duties.
