Tsoukalas: The prime minister has proven that he has lost contact with social reality

"The prime minister, in his visit to the labour ministry, proved that he has lost contact with social reality. He found everything perfect," main opposition PASOK-Movement for Change spokesperson Kostas Tsoukalas said in a statement on Wednesday.
Criticising the prime minister, Tsoukalas stated that "the ranking of our country at the bottom of European countries in terms of average wages obviously does not interest him. Nor does the relationship between nominal wages and purchasing power, which indicates the real wage."
Tsoukalas emphasised that "there is another path, that of real support for workers' income through social dialogue, the path of immediate processing of pension requests, recognition of the real value of work, monitoring of the high prices that reduce disposable income and control of the implementation of labour legislation."
