Traffic circulation has been banned on all roads of Paros island due to extreme weather phenomena on Monday.

A 112 emergency message was sent to residents of the island through sms (text messaging) to warn them not to travel. Only emergency vehicles are allowed.

The eastern parts of Greece, particularly the Aegean islands, are expected to be hit hard as of Monday with heavy rain and thunderstorms.
