Foreign Ministry expresses condolences to Myanmar, Thailand over earthquake; messages by PM, president

The Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry said on Friday it was "deeply saddened" over the loss of life caused by a powerful earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand, and expressed its condolences, in a post on X.

"Deeply saddened by the loss of life caused by the devastating earthquake that hit Myanmar and Thailand. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this disaster," the ministry's post said.

Following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake, at least 144 have been confirmed killed and 732 injured in Myanmar, while 10 were confirmed dead, 16 injured, and 101 missing in Thailand, as of this writing.
