The copies of the three videos handed over by the company Interstar on February 5, 2025 are genuine, according to a Hellenic Police forensics laboratory report released on Friday.
The videos show footage of the freight train involved in the tragic rail accident at Tempi on the night of February 28, 2023, shortly before the collision with a passenger train that killed 57 people.
The report said: "From a combined analysis it transpires that the file in question is a precise copy of the original video file that came from camera 05, which was linked with the recorder with the name 2546 KEK RAPSANI with the serial number 526438191, was transferred via the IVMS management software and concerns the time period  28/02/2320 23:12:46 until 23:46:29."
It should be noted that similar conclusions are reached in the reports on the rest of the cameras.
