Dendias unveils salary increases for Armed Forces personnel

Armed Forces personnel will receive increases in their monthly salaries that will range from 13% to 20% and in some cases even more, National Defence Minister Nikos Dendias, announced on Friday.
He pointed out that the increases are being given with the approval of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and in collaboration with National Economy and Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis, as well as Deputy Economy and Finance Minister Thanos Petralias, who is responsible for this area.
"This is a salary reform that will be implemented from April 1, 2025, and will be completed on October 1, 2025. This is its first phase," Dendias emphasised.
"The increases will depend on the rank and the position of responsibility," he added.
"The total increase in the minimum salaries and allowances of the Armed Forces officers will amount to 268 million euros," he clarified.
