Algerian Investment Promotion Agency to visit Greece in mid-April

The President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Ioannis Bratakos, met with the Ambassador of Algeria to Greece, Zaina Benhabouche, in the context of strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the ambassador referred to the excellent political relations between Greece and Algeria, underlining the will to further develop economic cooperation.
Bratakos expressed his interest in developing synergies in the sectors of agriculture, tourism and infrastructure, emphasising that these are sectors with significant added value and prospects of mutual benefit for businesses in the two countries. Greece and Algeria have similar products and crops, he said, which creates conditions for substantial cooperation in the agricultural sector and in the fishing and fish farming sectors.
On her part, the ambassador noted that Algeria is investing in the development of the tourism sector, adding that given Greece's experience and know-how, cooperation with Greek entities could significantly contribute to strengthening Algeria's tourism product.
Moreover, the planned visit of a delegation of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency to Greece, in mid-April, was discussed, during which meetings will be held with business and institutional bodies. In this context, a special information event for members of the chamber will be organised on the possibilities of business cooperation and investment in Algeria. Through this initiative, the ACCI reiterated its commitment to strengthening relations with the Algerian business community, stressing the need for a continuous exchange of information and the creation of stable channels of communication between the two chamber systems.
