Mitsotakis in Paris for leaders' summit on peace and security in Ukraine

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is traveling to Paris on Thursday to take part in the leaders' summit on Peace and Security in Ukraine, which is being organized at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The Summit will be attended by the majority of EU leaders, the leadership of European institutions (President of the European Council and President of the European Commission) and the Secretary General of NATO, while non-EU countries have also been invited to participate.
The government reported that Greece is participating at the highest level in consultations regarding the peace process in Ukraine, while the Paris Summit is taking place within the framework of the effort to reach a comprehensive peace agreement in Ukraine, a few days after the meeting of EU leaders at the European Council Meeting on March 20 and just one day after the announcements following the US consultations with both Ukraine and Russia regarding ceasefire efforts.
On Friday, March 28, Mitsotakis will be back at the Elysee Palace to meet Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides and the President of Lebanon Joseph Aoun. The quadrilateral Summit meeting of Greece-France-Cyprus-Lebanon is the first of its kind among the four countries and at the highest level.
