The safety of passengers, but also of shipping workers, the support of the Greek family and vulnerable groups through the pricing policy, as well as the strengthening and support of the Coast Guard are among the priorities of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Vassilis Kikilias said in an interview with Real News on Sunday.
Kikilias pointed out that thorough inspections have already begun in all categories of ships so that they can be completed on time, in view of the Easter period and the upcoming summer season.
"History has shown that the second four-year term is always very different. Society does not forgive easily, that is, it does not have tolerance, and demands more-better-faster. For me, the dominant initiative - change, must be one and horizontal in all areas of policy: I listen carefully, I talk honestly with citizens, and I provide solutions to their basic problem," the minister underlined.
