Hatzivassileiou: Greece is an important investment destination

"Greece has become an attractive investment destination, with significant investments, while Thessaloniki is developing into a center of technology and innovation," stated Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and OpennessTassos Hatzivassileiou, in an interview with the Sunday newspaper "Vradyni".
Hatzivassileiou underlined that the Greek economic diplomacy focuses on boosting exports, attracting investment and supporting innovation. Furthermore, he noted, the Global Gateway strategy promotes cooperation in areas such as energy, artificial intelligence and education, aiming at sustainable development and strengthening Greece's international economic relations.
Regarding geopolitical developments, the Deputy Foreign Minister refers to the strategic relationship between Greece and the US, which has been further strengthened in recent years, as well as to the critical situation in Syria, noting that the Christian communities in the region are in danger. "Greece is present with diplomatic initiatives, as an honest interlocutor who enjoys recognition. I remind you that the Prime Minister was one of the first leaders to raise the issue of the Christian populations of Syria internationally," he said, among other things, and added: "Our country stands by our Christian brothers and sisters and the Greeks living there, offering support and assistance."
Hatzivassileiou emphasized that Greece continues to strengthen its international position through a multidimensional and dynamic foreign policy, aiming at stability, economic growth and attracting investment.
