A 46-year-old man from the US was found dead on Thursday noon in a short-term rental apartment on the second floor of a building on Kolokynthous Street, Athens.

The man was discovered around 3 pm by the 52-year-old apartment owner, who had arrived to clean the space. The victim was tied to the bed with his hands restrained, a bag over his head, and an oxygen tank nearby.

According to police sources, foul play has been ruled out, and the case is believed to be a suicide.
