The metro stations "Syntagma" and "Panepistimio" will remain closed and trains will pass through them without stopping on Thursday.
Moreover, traffic restrictions will be implemented in the downtown Athens from 10:30 in the morning until the end of the swearing-in ceremony of the new President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine Tassoulas.
In particular, there will be traffic regulations (traffic stoppage, parking ban) in the wider area of downtown Athens, around Syntagma Square and the Presidential Mansion. The Hellenic Police appealed to motorists to avoid these roads while the special traffic restrictions are in force.
