A Coast Guard vessel located and rescued early Thursday a speed boat carrying foreign nationals in the sea region northeast of the island of Samos. The undocumented migrants (13 men, 7 women and 15 minors) along with a man from Afghanistan who was the trafficker and driver of the speedboat were taken to the port of Malagari and were delivered to the police in order to be transferred to the closed and controlled structure of Samos. The 26-year driver of the boat was recognised by the passengers as the trafficker and was arrested .
The port authorities of Samos have launched and investigation.
