Greece hosting Ministerial Meeting of the Ancient Civilizations Forum in 2025

Greece will host the 9th Ministerial Meeting of the Ancient Civilizations Forum in December 2025, following this year's meeting in Yerevan on Wednesday that was attended by Greek Culture Minister Lina Mendoni.
In a statement, the ministry said that the decision was unanimous.
Besides Greece, the Forum members include Armenia, Bolivia, China, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Italy, and Peru. This year's Forum was chaired by Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan, and it issued a declaration (see attached).
As chair of next year's event, Greece aims at assuming initiatives to promote the Forum's visibility, jointly fight illegal trafficking in antiquities, exchange technical know-how in conservation, restoration, and promotion of cultural reserves of member-states, and undertake international cultural actions with visible results in salvaging and promoting the cultural heritage of member-states.
The first Forum was held in Athens in 2017.
