Renowned actor Dimitris Imellos passes away at 57

Actor Dimitris Imellos passed away on Monday afternoon at the age of 57 after battling cancer. He was born on June 12 in Kypseli, Athens, and had origins from Naxos. He was the first actor to be awarded the “ Dimitris Horn Award” in 2001 for his performance in Tony Kushner's "The Illusion". He appeared at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus 12 times. He also appeared in many television series, starred in films, and performed in theatrical plays.
