Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis received the Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, on Tuesday at the Maximos Mansion to discuss issues concerning the municipality.

"We have many issues that we need to discuss, which concern daily life in our capital. And I want to reiterate from the outset that the government is open to having the best possible cooperation. This will be for the benefit of both residents and visitors to the city and in this spirit I want to launch our cooperation," Mitsotakis stated.

On his part, Doukas said: "It is very important that we can meet and discuss the major issues of Athens. And I think that this cooperation between the government and local authorities can solve the problems, deal with outstanding issues that have dogged us for years and handle them in the best possible way."
