3rd International Conference on Ancient Greek and Byzantine Technology in Athens, Nov 19-21

Technological achievements ranging from Ancient Greece to Byzantium will be presented at the 3rd International Conference of Ancient Greek and Byzantine Technology in Athens on November 19 to 21.
According to an announcement, the conference is organized by the Association for Research on Ancient Greek and Byzantine Technology and the NOESIS Science Center & Technology Museum, and is under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture.
The event will take place at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaro Moussikis), and it is addressed to archaeologists, historians, engineers, chemists, technology specialists, scientists and teachers from Greek and foreign universities, science centers and services in related fields.
NOESIS, located in the Thessaloniki metropolitan area, runs a Museum of Technology with three permanent exhibitions, including one on ancient Greek technology that covers the prehistoric period to Hellenistic and Byzantine years. The conference at Athens will be broadcast live at the NOESIS amphitheater in Thessaloniki.
