Attica Bank, Pancreta Bank merger ratified in parliament with ND, PASOK-KINAL votes

A bill ratifying the merger of Attica Bank with Pancreta Bank passed in Greek parliament on Thursday on the votes of ruling New Democracy (ND) and PASOK-Movement for Change (KINAL), who approved it in principle and in its totality.
The bill was named "Ratification of the 18.7.2024 dated agreement of the merger and investment between the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund and Thrivest Holding Ltd."
The remaining opposition parties voted against it, both in principle and in its totality.
Responding to a question by Plefsi Eleftherias' rapporteur, on whether the market research that JP Morgan did for the investor on behalf of the HFSF related to Pancreta Bank as well, National Economy & Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said, "It related to Attica Bank, because that is where it was a shareholder, not in Pancreta as well."
