Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met on Sunday with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on the sidelines of the International Peace Summit for Ukraine in Bürgenstock, Switzerland.
Government sources said that during the meeting they discussed issues of the Patriarchate while they expressed satisfaction for the fact that there is positive mobilisation on the issue of the re-operation of the Theological school of Halki.
Mitsotakis briefed the Ecumenical Patriarch on his intention to visit Istanbul in the next period for matters that concern the Patriarchate and the Greek community.
