Greece & China sign MoU to facilitate student exchange programs

Greece and the People's Republic of China signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoU) to facilitate the exploration of academic opportunites in both countries' universities, it was reported on Monday.

It was signed by Study in Greece (SiG) President Prof. Christos Michalakelis and by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) Alternate General Director Fang Yongsheng. SiG is supported by four Greek ministries (Foreign Affairs, Education-Religious Affairs & Sports, Culture, Tourism), while CSCSE is affiliated with China's Education Ministry.

Representatives of Chinese universities were hosted at the University of West Attica to present study opportunities open to Greek students who wish to either continue their studies in China or begin a course of studies there. Altogether, nine Greek academic institutions and six Chinese ones presented higher education opportunities in the context of the MoU's signing.

The People's Republic of China Ambassador to Greece Xiao Junzheng attended the event.
