Fire Brigade orders suspension of railway schedules due to fires in central Greece

Train transportation has been interrupted along the Athens-Thessaloniki line as the Fire Brigade ordered a temporary suspension due to fires in the regions of Agia Paraskevi and Tithorea south of Lamia, and in Velestino, west of Volos, all in central Greece.

At the above locations, the Fire Brigade also ordered a shutdown in the power supply.

Trains are not operating in the sections of Lianokladi-Livadia and Larissa-Volos, by Fire Brigade orders, because of the Velestino fires.

Passengers of Train IC55 that stopped at Lianokladi will be transported to Athens by bus.

Passengers of Train IC54 that stopped at Livadia will also be transported by bus to their destinations.

The schedules for Athens-Thessaloniki (Train 56) and Kalabaka-Athens (Train 887) will be carried out entirely by bus.
