FM Dendias: Greek society made clear that it wants Mitsotakis to remain prime minister

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, in an interview to ANT1 TV on Tuesday, said that "Mitsotakis received a huge vote of confidence from Greek society, and is no doubt about this, even after a period of crises and being doubted."
He also underlined that Greek society made clear that it wants Mitsotakis to remain prime minister.
Referring on the continuation of the detention of Himare mayor Fredi Beleri, he noted: "The Foreign Ministry said that the continuation of his detention is against the rule of law and the European acquis. I met with my Albanian counterpart and told her all the things I should say. We do not want to make anyone feel uncomfortable but, on the other hand, the Greek government and the EU can' tolerate any violations of the rule of law".
"It is a pity because Greek-Albanian relations had made great progress," Dendias said.
