Skertsos: Productive, social, green, digital, fair and strong - that is our vision for Greece

"We are now three weeks away from the crucial ballots of May 21 that will determined who will rule the country for the next four years," stated government spokesperson Akis Skertsos, launching his briefing of the press on Tuesday.

"Our country must not go back or remain stagnant because of a part of the political system that can't agree even on the basics with other forces, that opposes real progress, that does not have any proposal for the future. Our country should not again enter a political vortex that will once more drive it away from the rest of Europe, as happened in 2015-2019. We remained in Europe then because of the liberal party," Skertsos underlined.

At this point, he referred to the "steps forward the government guarantees," noting that ND's programme is characterised by only one word, the ambition that Greece will become better and be among the best. "Productive, social, green and digital, fair and strong, that's our vision for Greece. This is what is at stake in the May 21 elections - whether we will leave behind the ghosts of the past for good in order to move with optimism, national self-awareness, trust in our strengths and self criticism whenever bold corrective action is required for those things that don't work as they should and need to change".
