MeRA25 party unveils 100-Day Programme of 'innovative solutions'

The opposition MeRA25 party has unveiled its own 100-Day Programme, which it said will "offer innovative solutions that can be immediately implemented...before the advent of socialism or the Second Coming!"
In a video posted on Saturday, the party promised that within 100 days of the elections, it will abolish the "Hercules" system that "feeds primary residences and small businesses to vulture funds" and replace this with "Odysseas", which it described as a fair and efficient public company for managing private debt. It also promised the abolition of the energy exchange and the immediate introduction of a cap set at 5 pct of the average cost of energy production for the retail power market.
Further pledges included the pegging of wages, pensions and benefits to a cost-of-living index, generous cuts in VAT and advance tax payments for small businesses, fines for excessive prices for supermarkets, preventing banks from charging fees for electronic transactions and the foundation of a free transaction system called "Demeter", as well as an end to mining and terrestrial wind farms, combined with investments in green hydrogen, offshore wind farms and battery production plants in decaying industrial zones.
"Because everything can be different," concludes the video, which can be viewed at the web address https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vYo0D3An1o.
