Fincantieri, Leonardo sign MoUs with Greek suppliers at Elefsina Shipyards

Fincantieri signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the Elefsina Shipyards and with Greek

industries at the Italian embassy on Sunday, it said in a tweet on Monday.
Italy-based Fincantieri said in its tweet that the event took place at the Elefsis Shipyards owned by Onex.

In a press statement on Sunday, Fincantieri said it signed the MoUs "with a selection of potential new suppliers in the context of the high-profile process pursued by the Hellenic Minister of National Defence for the construction of four corvettes and the provision of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and In Service Support (ISS)."

Both shipbuilder Fincantieri and Leonardo, specializing in aerospace, defence and security, signed the MoUs that will "set the basis for defining possible business relationships for specific supplies."

"Fincantieri has carried out scouting activities in Greece in order to identify suppliers to start potential collaborations with reference to the existent Greek program or any new naval vessels program, with the main goal of strengthen the Group’s cooperation with Hellenic companies," it added.

The MoUs were signed with the following Greek companies: Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems SA, General Commercial and Industrial SA, Farad SA Heat Exchangers, Environmental Protection Engineering SA, G. Ligeros OE (Psyctotherm), SSA SA, Elfon, and Tecross SA.
