SYRIZA-PA: PM Mitsotakis extremely dangerous for Greece's national security

Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance once more attacked Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in connection with revelations made by the foreign press regarding use of the Predator spyware, in an announcement issued on Tuesday:
"After the 'New York Times' revelation that Mitsotakis' man in the foreign ministry, Yiannis Smyrlis, gave his approval for the export of Predator spyware to Madagascar, today the Israeli 'Haaretz' reveals that a similar licence was given by Greek authorities and for the export of the spyware to Bangladesh".
"The revelations this time are more serious. According to the article, despite claiming that he didn't know who had Predator software, Mitsotakis had not only monitored his political opponents, ministers, journalists, entrepreneurs and officers, not only had he given permission for its export to other countries with authoritarian regimes but he had also turned Greece into a training centre for foreign agents in the use of the spyware," the main opposition said, adding that "the official documents from Bangladesh confirm that the training of the agents in Greece was done with the full knowledge of the authorities, as they were addressedto Greek embassies and consulates".
"We were aware that Mitsotakis had been lying for months about Predator. Now it is proved that he is extremely dangerous not only for democracy but also for Greece's national security," underlined the main opposition party.
