Flights carry 28 unaccompanied minors from Greece to Portugal in December

Three flights for the relocation of 28 unaccompanied minors left Athens' 'Eleftherios Venizelos' airport for Portugal in December. Portugal has so far accepted 325 unaccompanied children as part of the Voluntary Relocation Programme coordinated by the Greek migration and asylum ministry.
According to a ministry announcement, the programme has so far support 1,313 unaccompanied children that have been transferred to other EU member-states. The programme is being carried out with the support of the European Commission, the asylum service, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Organisation for Migration, the NGO Metadrasi and the European Union Agency for Asylum.
