A total of 63 people rescued, 16 dead, in migrants boat accident off Paros

The 63 rescued migrants that were on a sailing boat that capsized late Friday in the sea region northwest of the Aegean island of Paros will be temporarily hosted on Paros. The bodies of 16 people have been already located while according to the rescued migrants' testimonies, 80 people were on board the sailing boat.
The search and rescue operation continues to locate the missing.
According to all indications the vessel had set sail from the Turkish coasts bound for Italy.
It is noted that this is the third consecutive search and rescue incident involving migrants in the Aegean in the last three days.
